A Junior Suite at the Little Nell

The Little Nell in Aspen, Colo., commissioned internationally known residential designer Holly Hunt to redesign its guestrooms, junior suites and corridors to freshen up the iconic hotel. The hotel closed in September and reopened on Dec. 1, 2009 with the newly remodeled rooms, just in time for the ski season.

The upgraded rooms have a new control system that utilizes the most up-to-date technological advances, enabling guests to customize the lighting, music, television and temperature settings in each respective accommodation. To ensure sustainable practices are incorporated, a cutting-edge Control4 wireless system shuts down all energy use in the room in addition to sensors which shut off all of the lights, fireplace, and reduce the temperature two to three degrees upon exiting.
