The 2012 USA Pro Cycling Challenge will come to Colorado August 20-26, and race organizers will welcome spectators with VIP travel packages for every type of fan.

“We were impressed by the level of support we received and amount of fans that came out to the race last year,” said Shawn Hunter, president of the USA Pro Challenge.  “Knowing how exciting the experience is for fans to be at the race, we’ve pulled together some great travel options that allow them to get an inside and up-close look at the sport of professional cycling.”

Each travel experience is designed to take in key portions of the 680-mile cycling race, as well as provide unique opportunities only available through the race organization. For each package, guests may choose between various levels of accommodations and benefits, and cyclists will even have an opportunity to challenge themselves on portions of the race routes. With the Grand Depart Aug. 17-20, guests can mingle with the racing entourage, enjoy rides through western scenery, attend the official team presentation and enjoy Stage 1 from the VIP tent. Midweek in the Mountains, Aug. 20-23, offers special access to the high-altitude mountain stages of the race, complete with a charter flight and VIP seating. The Final Weekend package, from Aug. 24-27, includes an option to see the Colorado Springs race finish, the possibility to see the Golden start and the Boulder finish and also includes Sunday’s time trial showdown with VIP seating.
