A New Look For The Whaler On Kaanapali Beach

The Whaler is offering a preview rate starting at $259

On the heels of an 18-month renovation project, The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach is promoting a new look and limited-time reduced rates.

Managed by Aston Hotels and Resorts, the 163-unit Maui condominium resort refreshed its common areas, including the entrance, courtyard and pool.

“The vision was to elevate the guest experience by creating a warm and relaxing, yet decidedly upscale, ambiance throughout the property," said Aston Hotels and Resorts president Kelvin Bloom. "We wanted this to be evident from the moment of arrival. The new palm-lined entrance, augmented porte cochere and addition of a three-tiered fountain will be the first improvements guests notice upon arrival.”

The Whaler overlooks a garden courtyard, which underwent a makeover providing it with a new waterfall and koi pond. New landscaping resulted in the addition of wider pathways and such tropical flora as taro, red and pink ginger and plumeria trees. The oceanfront pool deck was refreshed with new pavers, the jet spa was enlarged, and new lounge furniture and poolside cabanas were added.

To celebrate its new look, The Whaler is offering a preview rate starting at $259 for a studio garden view unit. The offer is valid for travel from July 1-Aug. 23.

The Whaler's accommodations include studios and one- and two-bedroom suites ranging from 600 to 2,000 square feet. Units come with full kitchens and private lanais, some of which wrap around corner units for more expansive views. Additional on-site amenities include a salon and spa, tennis courts, a heated pool, outdoor barbecues and a fitness center.
