Alaska Airlines is expanding its services to provide convenient connections between Hawaii and cities throughout the Pacific Northwest, Alaska and Canada. On Oct. 31, the airline will increase its seasonal coverage between Anchorage, Alaska and Kahului, Maui from twice to three times weekly. On November 17th, Alaska will open a new route from Seattle, Washington to Kona on the Big Island.
"[The] new service between Seattle and Kona expands coverage to all four major Hawaiian islands,” said Andrew Harrison, managing director of planning for Alaska Air Group. The new routes, he said, “are part of a broader effort to trim capacity from underperforming markets and redeploy it in places where customer demand is high."
Alaska Airlines Vacations also offers a full line of vacation packages for travel throughout the Hawaiian Islands, including Kona, the new destination from Seattle. Packages include air transportation, hotel accommodations, ground transportation and tours.
