Hawaii-owned and operated Aqua Hotels and Resorts has been selected to rebrand the 53-room Hotel Molokai. Situated oceanfront on Kamiloloa Beach, Aqua Hotel Molokai is the island’s only hotel and home to Hula Shores Restaurant, a popular gathering place for visitors and residents on Molokai.

“Aqua’s island heritage fits in nicely, as we fully understand the product and experience this unique hotel, spa and restaurant offers visitors," said Aqua vice president of development Bill Henderson. "It’s an excellent addition to our growing boutique collection.”

Designed after a Polynesian village, Aqua Hotel Molokai features a variety of accommodation options including garden and oceanfront bungalows and an oceanfront honeymoon suite. Recently renovated and upgraded, rooms suggest a Polynesian ambiance and include private lanais, high-speed Internet access, mini-refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers and cable televisions. Many of the rooms have full kitchens.

Resort amenities and services include a concierge, free parking, freshwater swimming pool, oceanfront restaurant, pool bar and lounge, daily live entertainment, a weekly Aloha Friday sunset celebration and nightly torch-lighting ceremony.

The hotel's Spa Center, open Monday–Friday, offers a variety of massages, acupuncture, facials, nail services and yoga classes. Groups can book the Bamboo Room, a meeting and function facility for up to 30 people with catering available through Hula Shores. An additional 200 people can be accommodated in an adjacent outdoor covered venue.

Also at the hotel are a gift and sundries shop, vending machines, laundry facilities, an ATM machine, photocopying service, Internet kiosk, hammocks and an on-site rental car location.

Molokai is 20 minutes by air from Oahu and 90 minutes by ferry from Maui.

“Aqua Hotel Molokai offers a rural Hawaiian experience, and we are looking forward to pairing it with the urban vibe of our Waikiki boutiques,” said Aqua president Ben Rafter. “The natural beauty and diversity of Molokai is a huge magnet for leisure travelers looking for indigenous island experiences.”

Room rates at Aqua Hotel Molokai start from $135 per night.
