Hyatt Waikiki Earns Eco Recognition

Hotel gets Four Green Keys for second year in a row

Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa has been awarded Four Green Keys as a part of an eco-rating program from Green Key Global.

The graduated rating recognition system is designed specifically for hotels and resorts that are committed to improving the environment through their own practices and policies.

“A rating of Four Green Keys is another positive tribute to what we have continued to do at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach. It is an endorsement of all that we have achieved over the last few years. It also serves as a reminder that environmental efforts at our resort will be forever at the forefront of our policy making decisions,” said Jerry Westenhaver, general manager of Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach.

While the Four Green Key rating recognizes the successes of a hotel or resort, Green Key Global also provides recommendations for future in-house green initiatives. The Green Key performance report is used as a guide towards more eco-friendly changes that can be achieved on property.

Hyatt Regency Waikiki has been recognized several times for environmental efforts. A Green Business Award winner and an Energy Star-rated hotel, the resort has been actively involved in community environmental enhancements for years.
