Celebrating 11 years as West Oahu's largest food and wine benefit, Ko Olina Taste at Kapolei is back for another evening of dining and dancing at Ko Olina Resort and Marina on Sept. 18, 2010, from 5:30-9 p.m.
Attendees can sample the creations of some of Oahu's most popular restaurants, dance to live entertainment, participate in a silent auction and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display. The event also features a Kids' Zone.
More than 20 restaurants from across Oahu offer culinary creations at the all-you-can-eat benefit with a variety of styles including Italian, Japanese, Thai, Pacific Rim, Chinese, American and local island creations.
Restaurants include the Alley; Aloha Salads; Auntie Pasto's; Big City Diner; Da Pokeman; Da Spot; Don Ho's Island Grill; En Fuego Grill and Poke; Formaggio; Hana Sushi; Hapa Grill; Highway Inn; Indigo; Kolohe's Bar and Grill; PF Chang's Hawaii; Romano's Macaroni Grill; Soul Patrol; Souvaly Thai Cuisine; and Thai Kitchen. The benefit also features desserts from Menchie's Frozen Yogurt.
Restaurants featured in the VIP sponsor section are 3660 on the Rise; Chai's Island Bistro; Chef Mavro; Town; The Poke Stop; and dessert by Cake Works.
Continuing the tradition started at last year's event, students from Kapolei High School Culinary Arts Academy work with food service professionals to serve desserts in the preferred seating area.
Organized by the Rotary Club of Kapolei, Ko Olina Taste at Kapolei raises funds for Leeward Oahu youth and community groups, schools and scholarships. Adult admission is $75 presale or $90 at the door and $35 for children ages 7-12.
