Dorchester Collection is unveiling new properties and renovations this year. The first new five-star hotel to open in Mayfair, London, for more than a decade, 45 Park Lane, is slated to open this month. The hotel boasts a contemporary aesthetic, by New York designer Thierry Despont, and 45 rooms and suites offering views of Hyde Park.

Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles is scheduled to reopen in October after a two-year refurbishment.

Wolfgang Puck will oversee dining operations at both hotels, as well as open his first European restaurant. Cut, at 45 Park Lane, will specialize in steak and wine and will seat 70 guests.

Le Richemond, a luxury property in Geneva, Switzerland, recently joined the Dorchester Collection and will complete the refurbishment of its restaurant, bar and suites by 2013.

Two Dorchester Collection hotels in Paris — Hotel Plaza Athenee and Le Meurice —  have qualified for the title of a “Palace” hotel, as selected by the French Tourism Secretary of State. www.dorchestercollection.com
