GHM, a luxury resort and hotel group managing properties in Southeast Asia, has announced plans for new boutique properties in expanded locations as it enters its third decade. The next four years will see hotels in China, Switzerland, India and United Arab Emirates as GHM aims to double the size of its portfolio.
“In our first 20 years, we pioneered resorts in some of the world’s most up-and-coming destinations,” said Hans Jenni, co-founder of GHM. “In this, the first year of our third decade, we’re engineering the moves on a five-year plan of growth, the likes of which we’ve never seen.”
The first of the new properties — in Suzhou, China and Andermatt, Switzerland — are currently under construction and are expected to open in late 2012/early 2013 and the winter of 2013, respectively. Other properties are also in the works, and new development deals are in the planning stages for Cuba and Brazil. www.ghmhotels.com
