Hotel Le Bristol in Paris received the first-ever honorable Palace Distinction, a recognition officially introduced in 2011 by the French State Secretary of Tourism. Didier Le Calvez, president and general manager of Hotel Le Bristol, was presented a commemorative plaque by Frederic Lefebvre, secretary of commerce.

"This is an extreme honor, and we are very proud to have achieved this renowned recognition, an integral part of Paris and its history," said Le Calvez.

The hotel's ongoing renovations total $150 million in investments to date. Renovations debuting in summer 2011 include enhancements to the hotel's three-star Michelin restaurant and French-style spa and the addition of two grand suites.
