Sandals Resorts and its philanthropic branch, The Sandals Foundation, joined Project Pink, Inc. for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in order to raise awareness of breast cancer among women in the Caribbean.
“Breast cancer affects all of us but, particularly here in the Caribbean, there’s an even greater need to educate and spread the word about early detection,” said Heidi Clarke, director of programs for the Sandals Foundation. “We are so delighted to be partnering with Project Pink, Inc. to do our part to influence women about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle while affording them the educational information and tools to support breast health to ultimately save their lives.”
During the month of October, the Sandals Foundation collected funds designated for Project Caribbean. www.sandals.com/projectpink
