The Tides Riviera Maya is currently undergoing renovations that are slated for completion in December. The six-acre resort is on the Caribbean coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, located three miles north of Playa del Carmen and 40 miles south of Cancun and its international airport.
Renovation highlights include 11 additional private luxury villas with plunge pools, increasing the resort’s total inventory to 41 villas. Guests can also expect interior updates to existing villas, expanded and enhanced dining choices, a new entrance and reception area, a new gym with updated workout equipment as well as resort-wide cosmetic renovations.
GVA & Associates is responsible for the architecture, and Arquitectura de Interiores is heading the interior design, procurement and installation for the renovation.
