Vail Resorts has announced the next generation of its ski and snowboard application, EpicMix, which is planned to launch in mid-December. Now, photographers at the six Vail Resorts can automatically deliver portraits and action shots to a guest’s EpicMix account by scanning a guest’s RF-enabled lift ticket or season pass. These images will be provided for free in a low-resolution format for sharing via Facebook and Twitter, while high-resolution images can be purchased online. Guests are also able to combine and edit photos through the EpicMix platform, as well as earn virtual pins and share stats through automatic check-ins at each lift.
“This season, we’re delivering a groundbreaking way for skiers and riders to capture their experience on the mountains,” said Rob Katz, Vail Resorts CEO. http://news.vailresorts.com
