Westin Hotels & Resorts has expanded its gear- lending program with New Balance after receiving positive feedback from users of the pilot program. The product loan system is now available to guests at all 190 worldwide Westin properties, encouraging travelers to stay healthy. With the program, guests can borrow running shoes with disposable insoles for just $5, as well as a variety of other New Balance apparel, saving them from having to pack their own workout gear. Westin guests will also benefit from travel-specific fitness content provided by New Balance, including exclusive in-room fitness and equipment-free content designed by trainer Holly Perkins. The program includes workouts, cardio and yoga, as well as “Wellness in Travel” tips on nutrition and healthy living.

Thousands of Westin and New Balance associates at close to 75 Westin properties participated in 5K runs to benefit Soles4Soles in celebration of the program’s global expansion. Westin will also donate more than 15,000 pairs of shoes to Soles4Soles, a portion of which will benefit those impacted by Hurricane Sandy. www.westinnewbalance.com/5k
