The Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce and Boise Convention & Visitors Bureau (BCVB) have united their efforts in a strategic partnership to promote the Boise Valley. With the BCVB’s offices now located on the same floor as the Chamber’s, the organizations will be even more able to pool their efforts.
Established in 1883, the Chamber comprises a membership of nearly 1,800 businesses, civic organizations, educational institutions and individuals, and aims to provide leadership for economic prosperity in the region. The BCVB, a nonprofit founded in 1982 by the Greater Boise Auditorium District, works to promote the city as a site for conventions; corporate meetings; trade shows; cultural, sports and special events and pleasure travel.
“This is a partnership that has proven to yield great results in many cities across the country and we look forward to bringing the same benefits here to Boise,” said Bill Connors, the Chamber’s president and CEO.
The BCVB has also announced its search for a new executive director.
