The Coeur d’Alene Resort is prepared for the holidays with a schedule of seasonal events for the entire family including light and music shows. The Holiday Light Show, one of the largest events of its kind, features more than 1.5 million lights glittering across Lake Coeur d’Alene. Highlights of the holiday light display include a Christmas Tree named The World’s Tallest Living Christmas Tree. Decked out in more than 30,000 LED lights and 161 feet tall, the tree is twice the height of New York City’s Rockefeller Christmas Tree. Guests can view the show on one of the Lake Coeur d'Alene Cruise Boats which travels to Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus at the North Pole Toy Workshop.
Nightly departures of the Fantasy Cruise to the North Pole Holiday Light Show are scheduled for 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The 40-minute cruises are offered now through Jan. 2. and cost $16.95 for adults, $15.95 for seniors (age 65 and over) and children age 12 and younger are free. Reservations are required and tickets can be purchased by calling The Holiday Light Show Center at 208-664-7268 or 800-688-5253. Guests who would rather linger onboard and enjoy dinner with their light show can opt for the 90-minute Journey to the North Pole Dinner Cruise, which is offered on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. for $44.75 per person.
The resort is also offering the G.I. Holiday Jukebox, a musical tribute to the USO Tours of World War II. Shown exclusively at the resort, the show features four performers who sing and dance to 1940’s pop tunes and Christmas favorites. The two-hour performance is performed at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays through Saturdays and at 3 p.m. on Sundays. Premier seating tickets are offered at $25 and standard seating tickets cost $20 for adults and $18 for children. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or by calling the Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre at 208-769-7780.
