Three-time Olympic skier and Idaho native Jeret “Speedy” Peterson has teamed up with the Idaho Division of Tourism (IDT) and the Idaho Ski Area Association (ISAA) to promote The Soul of Skiing, a way of life on the slopes as well as the title of their new interactive Web site and video.

The Soul of Skiing Web site introduces clients to Peterson, who is set to compete in the Vancouver Winter Olympics this February, while also virtually putting them inside the Idaho skiing experience. The site gives visitors an opportunity to enter and win ski or heli-ski vacation packages in Idaho as well.

The partnership with an Olympic contender is one of the many ways the IDT is creatively promoting travel throughout the state.

Peterson took the opportunity to work with the IDT and ISAA as a way to give back to his home state.

“I believe that everyone who leads a healthy, active lifestyle will fully benefit from what life has to offer,” said Peterson. “Growing up skiing in Idaho, I was fortunate enough to experience what Idaho truly has to offer and I want for everyone to have the opportunity to do the same.”
