Located on 4,000 rugged acres of pristine natural landscape at the base of the Grand Teton Mountains, Teton Ridge Ranch is, by nature, a perfect setting for a fun-filled, active getaway.
Each day’s rough-and-ready adventure is contrasted by the ranch’s stylish accommodations and gourmet dining awaits guests each night.
For those looking for something extra special, the ranch offers a series of customized getaways geared toward girlfriends, guys, families and couples looking to delight in the autumn colors of fall’s Indian Summer.
The girls’ getaway gives women a “shot” at bonding with friends while exploring the many activities on the ranch. Under the supervision of modern-day Annie Oakley (a.k.a. Jan Betts, ranch co-manager), women learn the sport of clay shooting. The session includes an introduction to shotguns, followed by target practice from the shooting tower. The next day, it’s time for sporting clays as the group takes aim on the ranch’s fourteen-station sporting clay course. Shotguns and shells are provided by the ranch.
After target practice, it’s time to saddle up and explore the natural beauty on horseback. Beginners and experienced riders alike will enjoy a tailor made adventure through rugged trails, fields of wildflowers and mountain streams. The adventure also includes a gourmet picnic lunch.
As the sun sets in the west, the group will hang up their spurs for an old-fashioned hayride. They’ll take in the breathtaking scenery and the special glow of the Grand Tetons while being served appetizers and wine before heading back to the lodge for a gourmet three-course dinner.
