The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) recently awarded Idaho’s Triple Play Family Fun Park the 2010 Top Family Entertainment Center of the World award during the annual Attractions Expo held in Orlando, Fla.
IAAPA Attractions Expo 2010 is the largest conference and trade show in the world for the amusement park and attractions industry. Members include family entertainment centers, zoos and aquariums, water parks, museums, science centers and theme parks. Current members include Silverwood, the Walt Disneyworld Resort, Knott’s Berry Farm, Dollywood and the San Diego Zoo. There are approximately 10,000 qualifying family entertainment centers in the U.S. alone.
Triple Play was given the award based on its diverse offerings, among other attributes. The park has 20 smoke-free bowling lanes (cosmic bowling takes place on Friday, Saturday and Monday nights), indoor and outdoor miniature golf courses for all ages, Go Kart racing on an 860-foot-long track, a black-light laser tag arena, bumper boats, an arcade with prizes, a climbing wall with varying paths and a Children’s Softplay zone for small children under adult supervision.
