Natahnsohn's memory lives on through her foundation.

The nonprofit Deborah L. Natahnsohn Foundation (DLN), founded in the memory of the former Orient Lines and The Yacths of Seabourn president after her sudden death in October 2006, continues to honor her groundbreaking achievements by promoting the advancement of women in travel through outreach programs, mentoring programs, scholarships and educational partnerships.

Now, DLN is seeking to raise awareness among the travel community and increase its abilities to assist women.

“The foundation has been too much of a secret, and I thought there was no better place to raise awareness and hopefully generate grassroots contributions than across the travel industry, an industry dominated by women,” said Mitchell J. Schlesinger, vice president of the board of directors for the foundation and the director of sales and marketing for Voyages to Antiquity.

Voyages to Antiquity has also provided the foundation with a corporate sponsored scholarship, which Schlesinger encouraged other companies in the industry to consider d
eveloping as well.
