America’s Vacation Center (AVC) recently held its 2009 National Conference, bringing together hundreds of its Independent Affiliates, dozens of travel industry leaders and AVC executive management. The successful conference program included an array of activities such as exclusive training, networking, groundbreaking reveals and more.

The five-day event was held in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on both land and sea, from Nov. 20 to 24, and included an inaugural sailing on Royal Caribbean International’s new Oasis of the Seas.

“Our 2009 National Conference was an opportunity for our elite network of Independent Affiliates to meet in person, share success stories, network one-on-one with the leading visionaries of the travel industry and experience an incredible milestone in cruising — the Oasis of the Seas,” said Brad Anderson, AVC’s co-president. “Everyone left energized, optimistic and motivated for a successful 2010. ‘Wave season’ is already off to a running start for [AVC], and we look forward to what the year has in store for the entire industry.”
