American Express Travel recognizes Altour as the Travel Agency of the Year for 2012

During its annual American Express Representative Travel Network National Summit, American Express Travel named Altour the Travel Agency of the Year for 2012. The honor recognizes the travel agency believed to be the best representative of the industry in customer advocacy, business development and innovation. The winner is also awarded for contributing to the American Express Representative Network to help advance its status throughout the industry.
“Since joining the network three years ago, Altour has truly found the formula for what makes a good partner and member within the network,” said Tony Gonchar, vice president of the Representative Network for American Express Travel. “Their network advocacy and support are great examples of their determination not only to win in the marketplace but to support their fellow members in the network to be successful as well.”
Accepting the award from Gonchar was Alexander Chemla, owner of Altour. In 2009, Altour entered a joint program with American Express Travel to strengthen and expand services for the American Express U.S. Representative Travel Network.
“We are incredibly honored to receive American Express Travel’s most prestigious award,” said Chemla. “This is the best travel consortia and, since joining the network three years ago, our business has grown exponentially through our mutual partnership programs. We are proud of this award and look forward to continued success and partnership with American Express.”
