Christopher L. Thompson has been appointed to president and CEO of Brand USA, the country’s first nationally coordinated tourism marketing effort. Thompson will replace the interim president, Caroline Beteta. He will be responsible for increasing inbound travel to the U.S. through marketing, public relations and partnership programs.
“I look forward to collaborating with the travel industry and our partners in the U.S. government in order to generate globally leading job creation, GDP, export growth and revenue for our nation through the power of travel,” said Thompson.
Thompson is currently transitioning out of his role as CEO of Visit Florida, where he earned numerous operational and marketing awards.
