Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau (MCCVB) recently selected Tammy Blount as the organization’s new president and CEO. In her new position, Blount will manage the MCCVB’s sales and marketing plans, while leveraging a $4.9 million budget.
“Tammy Blount’s experience in the tourism industry as well as her proven leadership and advocacy for convention and visitors bureaus will be great assets in the MCCVB’s efforts to bring more overnight visitors to the area,” said John Lloyd, MCCVB chairman of the board. “Her track record at the Tacoma and Vancouver CVBs demonstrate the results our destination is looking to get in both the group and leisure markets. We’re confident she’ll build upon the success already underway within the organization.”
Blount offers 20 years of destination marketing experience. She most recently served as the Tacoma regional CVB director.
