Sven-Olof Lindblad, chairman and CEO of Lindblad Expeditions since 1979, has handed over the CEO role to Tom Murray, previously the chief operating officer for the Americas for the InterContinental Hotels Group.
Lindblad will focus on working with global partners and extending the line’s commitment to the environment and communities in the areas frequented by the cruise line.
“Bringing Tom onboard to facilitate the continued expansion and evolution of Lindblad Expeditions represents one of the best choices we have made as an institution,” said Lindblad. “Tom’s skills and temperament are very suitable for our complex organization, and I am very excited to have him lead the company into the future.”
