Pique Joins RIU’s Leadership Team

Riu Hotels and Resorts appointed Sergi Ruiz Pique as the new vice president of business development and partner marketing

Riu Hotels and Resorts appointed Sergi Ruiz Pique as the new vice president of business development and partner marketing. Pique will now oversee Riu’s Canada and U.S. markets, particularly in the area of groups and weddings, a segment that Riu plans to expand.

Pique already has a project planned that aims to strengthen the brand’s relationships and communications with leading networks of vacation sales representatives, tour operators and travel agents in the U.S. and Canada.

He rejoins the company with more than 15 years of professional hotel experience, a career he started with Riu in 1997 and continued with Melia Hotels International for the past 10 years.
