Saint Lucia’s newly elected government selected Hon. Lorne Theophilus as its new minister of tourism, heritage and the creative industries.
“The Saint Lucia Tourist Board looks forward to working with Mr. Theophilus,” said Louis Lewis, director of tourism for the Saint Lucia Tourist Board. “This is the first time the tourism portfolio has been tagged with heritage and creative industries, two sectors of the economy that the new government says it wants to give added attention and sees the tourism industry as that vital catalyst and gateway for achieving this goal.”
Theophilus, an attorney, has volunteered on tourism projects managed by the board in the past.
