The Hyatt Regency Century Plaza has opened a 3,000-square-foot, eco-friendly, synthetic hybrid rink in the hotel’s backyard. Skaters are welcome Monday-Friday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Non-guests pay $10 per hour of skating or can choose a $20 day pass. An $8 discount on valet parking is available with skate rental. Outdoor skating is available through Jan. 3.
Prior to opening The Rink, the hotel held a media preview event in partnership with the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The event hosted the families of approximately 25 wish kids and Breena Gold, the organization’s president and CEO. The Hyatt Regency Century Plaza donated 30 percent of sales from The Rink made from Nov. 15-25 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in celebration of its 30th anniversary.
