St. Kitts Tourism Authority welcomes Carolyn James as its new acting CEO, a title she holds in conjunction with her previous role as director of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority for Canada. James has relocated from Canada to the St. Kitts office where she will carry out her duties.
Boasting a strong background in executing marketing initiatives, James is credited for leading the creation and execution of a Destination Specialist Program specifically for travel agents and working with Air Canada to introduce seasonal weekly nonstop service to St. Kitts through a new relationship with Air Canada Vacations.
"James is well-suited to lead the St. Kitts Tourism Authority at this time, as we intensify our efforts to grow the St. Kitts brand and drive more targeted business to our destination," said Alfonso O'Garro, chairman of the board of directors of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority. "As we hone our focus on the highly competitive demands of the marketplace as well as the needs of our tourism stakeholders and local people, her in-depth understanding of our island's tourism product will be invaluable, and we are pleased to welcome her home to her new role as acting CEO."
