On Aug. 7, Project Dinner Table will host the fourth dinner event in a series of seven farm-to-table dinners. Beginning at 7 p.m. at the El Cortez Hotel and Casino, executive chef, Jeff Braun, of The Mirage, will prepare a feast incorporating locally grown produce and herbs into his dishes.

Project Dinner Table blends a philanthropic approach and appreciation for the farm-to-table movement, while focusing on food, community and fun. The gatherings celebrate community, local food sources and the lost art of conversation.

Project Dinner Table selects a local charity to be honored at each dinner and a donation will be presented to the charity on behalf of the guests, the chef and sponsors. The El Cortez dinner will make a donation to support the Nevada Cancer Institute. Charitable priorities include arts and culture; education; environmental sustainability; homelessness and food security and health and wellness.

Remaining Project Dinner Table events for the year are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 11, with special guest chefs from MGM Grand; Saturday, Oct. 16, at Gilcrease Orchard with chef Mark Sandoval from Postrio; and the final dinner will take place on Sunday, Nov. 14, with chef Roy Ellamar from Bellagio’s Sensi.
