At a time when the economy is struggling and consumers are wary of overspending, the Eldorado Hotel & Spa in Santa Fe, N.M., is hoping to alleviate clients’ worries and stress with a complimentary spa treatment at its Nidah Spa with every room night booked through March 31.
Spa-goers have a choice of one 50-minute massage or facial valued at $130, free of charge, with a booking of $199 per night. There is no limit to the number of nights or treatments. Clients seeking to enhance or extend their pampering can also upgrade their spa treatment and apply a $130 credit toward any spa services.
The 4,300-square-foot Nidah Spa draws inspiration for its treatments from the natural healing properties of plants, legumes and herbs indigenous to New Mexico and incorporates ingredients such as caviar, gold, oxygen, turquoise and venom into its spa menu. Each treatment is developed to reflect the sacred directions of the Native American medicine wheel —north for restoration, south for vitality, west for purification and the “Golden Center” for balancing.
The recently renovated hotel is a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts and has 213 guestrooms. Guestooms offer 32-inch, flat-screen, high-definition-compatible televisions; terry-cloth bathrobes; a workstation with task light; high-speed Internet access; a refrigerated minibar; and optional turndown service. Deluxe rooms, in addition to offering more space, feature a wood-burning Kiva fireplace and shared terrace. As part of its renovations, Eldorado recently added six Nidah Spa suites that offer daily in-room spa treatments, a customized iPod Nano playlist, a special spa bar, plush linens, comfortable robes, daily breakfast and more. The AAA Four-Diamond resort is located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, next to the historic Santa Fe Plaza and near the Georgia O’Keefe Museum and the Loretto Chapel’s Miraculous Staircase.
