From June 10-16, the 26th annual Festival Flamenco Internacional de Albuquerque will return to New Mexico, presented by The National Institute of Flamenco.
This weeklong celebration is touted as the longest-standing flamenco dance event outside of Spain. Each year, the lure of flamenco draws more than 5,500 artists and visitors to the event to see performances and take classes, both presented by some of the most highly revered flamenco artists in the world, such as Ivan Vargas, Karime Amaya and Marco Flores. More than 30 dance, guitar and singing workshops will also take place for all interested parties, from beginners to professionals. Performances will also take place nightly at 8 p.m.
The festival will take place at the National Hispanic Cultural Center on the University of New Mexico’s Albuquerque campus.
