The New Mexico Tourism Department and its travel industry partners have unveiled a new way for travelers to save statewide. Its new Enchantment Card lets card holders save money on a wide variety of attractions, restaurants and shops throughout New Mexico where the Discover New Mexico sticker is displayed prominently.

The card is free and can be obtained at Agents can fill out the necessary information for their clients and have the card directly mailed to their clients. Clients can also stop by any New Mexico Tourism Department Visitor Information Center to pick one up. Card holders must be at least 16 years of age.

“The goal of the Enchantment Card discount program is to increase the number of visitors — from both in state and beyond — into our communities,” said Michael Cerletti, secretary of the New Mexico Tourism Department. “The program means more people traveling, shopping, eating, sightseeing and maybe even staying an extra night or two; and it will encourage people to go places they have never gone before and encourage former visitors who may not have been back in a while.

“Best of all, however, is that there is no cost to the card user, and the only expense to the participating business is what it chooses to offer as a discount,” said Cerletti. “Everybody wins.”
