In recent months and going forward, hotels in Albuquerque, N.M., are going through major changes.
Last fall, La Posada de Albuquerque reopened as the Hotel Andaluz following a $30 million renovation that made the historic property more eco-friendly, as well as adding a new Mediterranean-influenced restaurant, a rooftop lounge and a cultural center.
Hotel Parq Central
This fall, the Hotel Parq Central boutique hotel is scheduled to open. The hotel’s building, which formerly was an historic hospital built in 1926 by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad, is located in downtown Albuquerque.
Isleta Hotel & Casino
Last October, the Isleta Hotel & Casino announced that it has entered into a license agreement with Hard Rock Hotel Holdings, LLC, and HRHH IP, LLC, to transform itself into the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Albuquerque. The agreement is currently pending the review of the National Indian gaming Association.

Also, the Albuquerque Grand Airport Hotel is currently undergoing a $6.5 million total renovation, with an expected completion date for this year. Following its renovation, the 276-room property will become a four-star Sheraton hotel.
