If there’s one thing Portland is as well known for as bicycles, it’s food. That in mind, Pedal Bicycle Tours has introduced Bites By Bike, a rolling culinary tour that leads clients to several of the city's artisan eateries.
Each Saturday, participants cycle to six of Portland’s freshest and most delicious culinary experiences while enjoying short rides on the famous bike-friendly streets of Portland.
Highlights of the three-and-one-half-hour tour include visiting a coffee roaster, sampling artisan cheeses and homemade bread, nibbling on fresh-baked cookies with seasonal ingredients, enjoying house-crafted soda and pizza with local toppings and sipping ultra-rich drinking chocolate. The tour also makes a stop at the city's one-stop-shop for fresh produce, the Portland Farmers Market.
Participants have use of bikes and helmets during the guided tour, which costs $69 per person. Excursions depart at 9 a.m. and return at 12:30 p.m.
