For travelers who like to plan ahead for the holidays, the Courtyard by Marriott-Portland City Center is offering a rate of $69 per night for stays from Nov. 19-Dec. 30. They should act now, however, because the reservation must be made by July 31.
As part of the ongoing revitalization of downtown Portland, the hotel - located in the former Toronto National Building - opened in May 2009 after a complete exterior and interior renovation of the derelict space. The major overhaul allowed Sage Hospitality and SERA Architects to design the new hotel to meet the high standards of today’s traveler.
With 16 floors and 256 guest rooms, the hotel features 5,310 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, including the Sequoia Ballroom, a business library with computers, docking stations and printers, and a state-of-the-art fitness facility.
Two unique aspects of the Courtyard by Marriott-Portland City Center include the collection of locally commissioned artwork and a new concept restaurant/diner called the Original, from the Sage Restaurant Group.
The hotel is located on the new Green Max Line - opening in September 2009 - which will give guests easy access to the Oregon Convention Center and Portland International Airport.
