Need to book a room, order room service for a late check-in or make a spa reservation at the historic Heathman Hotel in Portland? Now there’s an app for that.
The Heathman’s innovative app is billed as the first of its kind in the hotel industry. It gives guests 24-hour access -- through their iPhones and iPads -- to hotel staff, concierge services and amenities.
The app even includes an audio tour of the hotel’s renowned art collection, which includes works such as limited-edition prints from Andy Warhol’s Endangered Species series, among others.
Heathman guests will also find a real-time mapping feature to help them locate the hotel and embark on suggested walking/running tours in the downtown Portland area.
The new app is available at no cost in the Apple App Store.
