The Details

MusicfestNW, one of the largest indoor music festivals in the country, is celebrating its 11th year from Sept. 7-11, 2011. The festival aims to top last year’s amped-up experience with four days of the best bands from across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

This year's lineup includes performances by groups like Crown Point, Iron and Wine, Band of Horses, Explosions in the Sky and Blitzen Trapper at venues across the city. Last year, more than 170 bands rocked 20,000 fans at 18 venues around town, including the Crystal Ballroom, Aladdin Theater and a huge outdoor stage at Pioneer Courthouse Square.

This year, event organizers will turn the show up a notch by adding a third night of performances at the venue affectionately known as Portland’s Living Room.

Individual tickets and wristbands, which allow access to shows over the entire weekend, are available online.
