The Details

A new watering hole called Spirit of 77 pays tribute to the Portland Trail Blazers' championship season in 1977, but it's not just attracting buzz from basketball diehards. Non-sports fans are equally enamored of the lively gathering place, designed by the creative minds behind Portland's Ace Hotel.

Spirit of 77 features a recycled basketball court wall, custom four-lane basketball arcade, foosball and darts. Clients can watch the 16-by-9-foot HD screen or turn their attention to numerous flat-screen TVs positioned for clear sightlines from every seat in the house.

Putting a gourmet twist on typical bar food, Spirit of 77's menu was designed by successful local restaurateur Nate Tilden.

And, in a city known for its bikeability, Spirit of 77 offers indoor parking for up to 15 bikes.
