The Resort at the Mountain wants to make meetings more memorable. That in mind, the year-round destination is presenting team-building exercises for groups planning working trips to the property.
Games, culinary courses and off-site adventures are some of the creative extras available at the resort, which is set in the western highlands of Mt. Hood.
“The resort is an ideal location for meetings that are both productive and fun,” said Resort at the Mountain general manage Frank Casarez. “Our facilities and organized diversions are an entertaining way to maintain interest throughout a meeting and bring organizations and associates closer together.”
With the evergreens of Mt. Hood National Forest as the backdrop, the resort's outdoor team-building options include a barbeque lunch and team croquet lessons; golf putting or a distance driving competition; and tennis, volleyball and badminton contests. Other activities include biking, fishing, hiking, horseback riding and snow sports.
Indoors, groups can indulge in ping-pong, foosball and darts in the resort's game room. Associates can learn how to relax together during group yoga sessions. They can participate in a hands-on cooking class with resort chef Paul Bosch, or team up for an iron chef contest or cake decorating competition. Mixology offerings include martini classes as well as wine, whiskey and microbrew tastings.
Located 45 minutes east of Portland, the resort recently remodeled its 13 meeting rooms and 18,000 square feet of flexible event space.
