Portland kicks off a performing arts promotion // © 2011 Andrew Eccles
Watch for a whole lot of dancing in the streets — or at least in the aisles — when downtown Portland kicks off a first-of-its-kind performing arts promotion in late February 2011.
Various arts groups plan to offer two-for-one tickets for events from Feb. 21 through the end of March. Among the participants are Portland Center Stage, White Bird Dance, Oregon Ballet Theatre and the Oregon Symphony.
With productions and events held in downtown venues such as Portland Center for the Performing Arts and the newly renovated Lincoln Hall, the two-for-one deal -- combined with ongoing dining and hotel packages -- promises visitors an easy, inexpensive night on the town.
