The seventh annual Austin City Limits Music Festival is set for the weekend of Sept. 26. Keeping the tradition of the original television show the festival came from, the three-day music-fest will be a time of musical discovery introducing a collection of performances ranging from rock to hip-hop to blues to avant-garde music. Over 130 artists will perform on the eight stages of Zilker Park including Foo Fighters, Beck, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss Erykah Badu, David Byrne, Gnarles Barkley, Manu Chao and N.E.R.D.
In the past two years, the festival has given back over $1 million to the Austin Parks Foundation for improvements in Zilker Park and around the greater Austin area creating new trails, off-leash dog parks and green initiatives. The ACL Festival will utilize biodiesel generators and eco-friendly operations in the food court while purchasing carbon offsets from the Green Mountain Energy Company to neutralize any carbon emissions created by the festival.
The festival will also include the Austin Eats Food Court to satisfy any sustenance needs. The SoCo Art Market will feature arts and crafts items to take home as souvenirs or gifts.
Although three-day passes are sold out, single day passes are available for $80 and printable online for immediate access.
