Held every September, the Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACL) welcomes more than 100 bands from around the world and brings thousands of visitors to Austin’s Zilker Park for music and festivities. Past performers run the gamut from up-and-coming artists to the internationally renowned including M.I.A., The Flaming Lips, Coldplay, Muse, The Strokes, Nora Jones and Band of Horses.
This year is a particularly special one for ACL as the event marks its 10th anniversary. To commemorate, the festival is offering several packages that include a three-day pass and a choice of accommodations from leading Austin hotels. Participating hotels include the Hampton Inn, Barton Creek Resort & Spa, CandleWood Suites, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Embassy Suites and others. Packages can be customized to include roundtrip airport transfers, meals and more.
From Sept. 16-18, ACL promises food, art and music from all over the world (rock, indie, country, folk, electronic and more) on eight stages. The family-friendly event will also offer Austin Kiddie Limits activities for children under age of 10. Children are admitted free with a ticketed adult. Tickets are currently on sale, and the line up will be officially announced on May 17.
