The South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival has announced a third round of bands scheduled to perform March 13-18. The final lineup will be announced early next year. The music festival, now in its 26th year, will take place throughout the performance venues, bars, clubs and parks in downtown Austin.

Currently, the lineup includes The Magnetic Fields, Metric, The Fray, Motopony, Talib Kweli, Neon Trees, Shiny Toy Guns, VHS or Beta, Neon Trees, Built to Spill, Delta Spirit, Stars and hundreds of other emerging bands from all over the country and the world.

The SXSW music festival aims to educate and inspire by offering music industry events and networking opportunities. Bruce Springsteen will serve as the keynote speaker, and participants can also expect four days of panels, interviews, workshops, peer meetings and a trade show exhibition at the Austin Convention Center.

During next year’s festival, more than 2,000 acts from more than 55 countries are expected to perform. Many artists — including James Blunt, John Mayer and The Polyphonic Spree — credit SXSW for their successes.
