The annual Austin Ice Cream Festival is back for its fourth year in a row.
Centered around family, fun and ice cream, this event recalls a simpler time when ice cream trucks roamed the streets and running through sprinklers was virtually an art form.
In Austin's Waterloo Park this August, there will be something for just about every family member to enjoy. The Austin Ice Cream Festival will feature a full day of games, activities, live entertainment and contests - from ice cream eating and ice cream making to popsicle stick sculpting and more.
The festival has benefited many local charities and organizations including the Austin Children's Shelter, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Habibis Hutch.
The festivities take place on August 14 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Waterloo Park. Admission for adults is $5 and is free for children under the age of 8 years old.
