Carnival Cruise Lines is celebrating the U.S. debut of its newest ship, Carnival Magic, at its year-round homeport of Galveston, Texas. Three-time Grammy Award-winners, Maroon 5, will perform for thousands of invited music and cruise line fans. The free concert will take place on Nov. 13, the day before the new vessel’s inaugural U.S. voyage, and will be followed by an evening of dining and entertainment on board the ship.
“We wanted to do something big and memorable to mark Carnival Magic’s U.S. debut, and what better way to celebrate than to bring together fans of music and fans of Carnival, along with our partners in Galveston, for an exceptional afternoon of fun and entertainment?” said Gerry Cahill, president and CEO of Carnival Cruise Lines.
Free tickets for the event will be distributed in a number of ways, such as through Facebook. Fans of Carnival’s Facebook page will have the opportunity to participate in a dance contest with the chance to win two concert tickets, roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations, ground transportation and cash prizes.
