The greater area of Corpus Christi, Texas, will host numerous events throughout December to spread joy in honor of the holiday season.
The official kick off to the holiday season, the Harbor Lights Festival on Dec. 5 will take place in Corpus Christi along Shoreline Blvd. The festival boasts a children’s parade, live entertainment, a children’s activity area, the Lighting of the Tree of Lights ceremony, a laser light show and an illuminated boat parade.
Also in Corpus Christi, but on the following day, The Nativity in Art exhibit will take place at the Art Museum of South Texas. The exhibit will highlight artful representations of the nativity scene from around the globe, including the popular works most often discussed and analyzed by art historians.
The nearby city of Rockport will hold the Rockport Tropical Christmas Festival on Dec. 5 in Downtown Rockport. The festival will feature live entertainment and vendors from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. And in the evening, downtown Rockport will host an illuminated boat parade, the lighting of the city’s Children’s Christmas Tree and the Tropical Illuminated Night Land Parade and fireworks.
