Internationally recognized brands, including Starbucks and Pizza Hut, as well as the El Paso, Texas, hometown favorite, Carlos & Mickey’s Express restaurant, are some of the latest choices for clients passing through or flying to El Paso International Airport.

Carlos & Mickey’s Express offers passengers authentic Mexican cuisine — including chimichangas, enchiladas, tacos and quesadillas — for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition, soups, salads and desserts round out its hearty menu. Starbucks offers its signature anyway-you-want-it coffees, pastries and sandwiches to go, while Pizza Hut plans on satisfying clients with single-serve, thick crust pizzas.

“El Paso International Airport travelers are enjoying our new food and beverage concessions program developed by HMSHost. These new concepts offer a taste of El Paso along with the best national brands,” said Monica Lombrana, A.A.E., director of aviation.

The airport will continue to expand its services next year as well. Scheduled to open in mid-2010, the 12th Fairway Bar & Grill will cater to golf lovers and foodies alike. The full-service restaurant will serve a selection of salads, main courses and sandwiches in addition to offering a wide-range of liquor and premium scotch.

“We’re pleased to make the traveler’s day better at El Paso International Airport with this unique blend of authentic local favorites and popular international brands that enhance the airport’s food and beverage program,” said Stephen Douglas, the vice president of business development for HMSHost.

The new food court is located in Concourse B, which is accessible to passengers who have cleared security.
