Hilton Bella Harbor Opens in Dallas

On May 17, Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Whittle Development Inc. celebrated the opening of the new Hilton Bella Harbor, a North Texas destination that lends new meaning to the term “lone star” with its combination of first-class accommodations and waterfront features.


On May 17, Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Whittle Development Inc. celebrated the opening of the new Hilton Bella Harbor, a North Texas destination that lends new meaning to the term “lone star” with its combination of first-class accommodations and waterfront features. Located 22 miles east of downtown Dallas, the hotel was designed for and around water. Seventy five percent of the luxury property’s rooms have a lake view and floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the hotel frame the lakeside pool and lake views. An interior water wall and water-like reflective surfaces with metallic-flecked granite floors and art glass chandeliers bring the sound and look of water inside. Additional custom features such as a majestic, specially-designed fireplace and inlaid walls with handcrafted rosewood detail complete the experience for guests.

Hilton Bella Harbor is owned by Whittle Development Inc. and is operated by Gateway Hospitality Group under a franchise license agreement with Hilton Hotels & Resorts, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corporation. Construction for the luxury property began in Nov. 2006 and is one of many new attractions in the Harbor District, also developed by Whittle Development Inc.

In support of local artists, the design team commissioned an expansive collection of more than 700 pieces of original art — paintings, sculptures and photographs — from area artists and the uniquely outfitted gift shop features jewelry, skincare products, collectibles and more from local merchants.

Business and leisure travelers alike can take advantage of the outdoor pool with hot tub, a 24-hour fitness center featuring state-of-the-art Hilton Fitness by Precor equipment, personal training sessions, outdoor activities including sailing, golf, horseback riding and upscale shopping.
