Sojourn Bicycling & Active Vacations, which offers a wide range of routes throughout the U.S. and Canada, recently announced a new itinerary for 2011, the eight-day Texas Hill Country tour.
Beginning in San Antonio, clients will embark on a historical journey through Texas’ river valleys and rolling hills. Tour destinations include the final resting place of former president Lyndon B. Johnson, LBJ Ranch, along the Pedernales River; the cultural center of Fredericksburg; Bandera, the self-proclaimed “Cowboy Capital of the World”; the historic Mission Trail; The National Museum of the Pacific War; and San Antonio’s River Walk.
Tour amenities include all meals; lodging at hotels, such as the Hoffman Haus in Fredericksburg, the Meyer Bed & Breakfast in Comfort and the Omni La Mansion del Rio in San Antonio; complimentary bike and helmet rental; and a variety of refreshments during the tour.
Tour dates are March 27 through April 3, 2011; April 3-10, 2011; and April 10-17, 2011. Rates begin at $2,795, based on double occupancy; single travelers pay a supplement of $795.
